About

Thanks for visiting Pennies in the Jar – a blog finding ways to save and make you money.

I’m Sarah, I’m in my twenties and from Oxfordshire.

I love reading, Netflix, and all things Disney. I have a degree in English as well as a foundation diploma in Art & Design; I love putting them to use by creating things – content, embroidery, art and more.

About Pennies in the Jar

I started this blog after head injury left me stuck at home. I realised how stressed I’d be and how much I valued my time over money. So naturally I started to think of ways I could work for myself and realistically make money from home. That made me stumble upon some great blogs and forums that gave me the encouragement to go for the life I want.

I’m still early on in my journey, but I want to share it with you and also show you ways to make and save money.

I will show you websites and apps that you can use to make money, but also old fashioned frugal tips and tricks to make your money go further. I will not blog about anything that I have not personally tried.

I don’t believe you have to go drastic measures to live well. I’m a big advocate of making smart changes to save money. Small changes can yield big results, so you don’t need to live like a pauper to meet your financial goals.

Follow me as I wave goodbye to the commute and build a sustainable life of freedom that suits me!
